Privacy Policy

This policy explains how PocketFin (Pocket Finance Tracker) handles information when you use the app. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].

Information we collect

• Account information: your Google account email address and Google account identifier. We use these to create and authenticate your PocketFin account. We do not receive your Google password.
• Information you enter: expense and income notes, amounts, dates, and due-payment notes and amounts.
• Service information: our hosting infrastructure may process standard request information, such as IP address, request time, and error details, to operate and secure the service.

PocketFin does not connect to your bank account or collect payment-card or bank-account credentials.

How we use information

We use this information only to:

• sign you in and manage your account;
• store, sync, display, summarize, and export your records;
• operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the service; and
• respond to support and privacy requests.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking. Information may be processed by service providers that host or secure PocketFin, only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information if required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, PocketFin, or others.

Google processes information when you use Google Sign-In under Google's Privacy Policy.

Storage and security

Your records are stored on PocketFin's servers and transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. The app stores its sign-in token in the device's secure storage. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

Retention and deletion

We keep account information and saved records while your account is active. You can delete individual expense and due-payment records in the app.

To delete your account and its associated information, follow the instructions on the account deletion page. After we verify the request, we will delete the account, Google account identifier, email address, expenses, and due-payment records within 30 days. We may retain information only when required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons, and only for as long as that reason applies.

Children

PocketFin is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to PocketFin.

Your choices

You may review and delete individual records in the app, export expense records as CSV, sign out, or request deletion of your account. You may also contact us to ask about your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when PocketFin or its data practices change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date.
